The Department of Anatomy celebrated World Anatomy Day on 15th October 2024 at the MEU Hall, with the inspiring theme “Anatomy in Motion.” This day highlighted the significant contributions of Anatomists to the Medical field, encapsulated by the caption: “A Day to tribute Anatomists for transforming Anatomical knowledge of Medicine.”

The event commenced with an Invocation led by Dr Nagashree M V, Dr Sangeetha K., and Dr Vanitha Naik, creating a serene and auspicious start to the program. The Welcome Address was delivered by Dr Nagashree M V, warmly setting the tone for the day’s activities. A remarkable session followed, with Dr Chethan presenting a compelling speech on the History of Anatomy, offering valuable insights into the evolution of the discipline. The event was formally inaugurated by the distinguished Dean/Principal Dr Gangadhar K S, and COH Dr Krishnamurthy V R, emphasizing the importance of Anatomy in medical education and practice.
The highlight of the celebration was a guest lecture by Dr Sreeleela C, who shared her expertise and perspectives on the theme, leaving the audience inspired and enlightened. The department also felicitated Dr Sreeleela C, in recognition of her contributions.

The day was memorable with interactive and enjoyable activities, including quiz competition and fun games for the faculty, fostering camaraderie and enthusiasm. The program ended on a note of gratitude with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Dr Sangeetha K. The event was a grand success, reflecting the department’s dedication to honouring the field of anatomy and its practitioners.
