In association with World Health Day 2024, aligned with the theme “My Health, My Right,” the Department of Community Medicine at BGS MCH, Nagarur, Bangalore North, conducted the inauguration of specialty clinics at UHTC (Urban Health Training Center), Abbigere on 5th APRIL 2024 AT 11 AM .The event drew nearly 32 attendees, including staff, ASHAs (Accredited Social Health Activists), Anganwadi workers and patients.
The event commenced with a divine invocation followed by lamp lighting ceremony. A warm welcome address was delivered. Dr. Raghuram. V , Professor and Head of the Department, Community Medicine addressed the gathering emphasising on the importance of World Health Day and this year’s theme ‘My Health My Right’. Dr. Satheesh, Professor, Department of Community Medicine, addressed the gathered audience, emphasizing the significance of the specialty clinics and assuring the provision of specialized services thrice a week at the center. Dr. Krishnamurthy ,Medical officer of UHTC Abbigere delivered concluding remarks expressing their commitment and cooperation towards the venture. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the Medicosocial worker, expressing gratitude to all participants and stakeholders involved in making the event a success.
Following the formalities, Dr. Krishnakumar , Assistant Professor, Department of General Surgery amnd Dr. Dhanush, Assistant Professor , Department of ENT, BGS MCH started the specialty clinic services, providing specialized healthcare services to the patients. The event served as a significant milestone in promoting access to quality healthcare services and reaffirming the commitment to advancing community health and well-being
