Training Program on ICH- GCP guidelines

The Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC) of BGS Medical College and Hospital (BGS MCH) organized a one-day training program on Good Clinical Practices for interns from Adichunchanagiri Ayurvedic Medical College (AAMC), Bangalore. Dr. Gangadhara, Dean and Principal of BGS MCH and the Authority of the IEC, along with Dr. Byresh, Principal of AAMC and Chairman of the IEC, graced the event and emphasized the critical role of ethics in research.

The training sessions were led by experienced IEC members and covered key topics such as an introduction to clinical trials, the history of ethics and Good Clinical Practices, the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee, protocol and amendments, the role of the Principal Investigator, and the responsibilities of sponsors. The feedback from participants was highly positive, reflecting the program’s success. Plans for additional training sessions by the IEC are already underway.
