In association with World Health Day 2024, aligned with the theme “My Health, My Right,” the Department of Community Medicine at BGS MCH, Nagarur, Bangalore North, conducted the inauguration of specialty clinics at the RHTC (Rural Health Training Center), Gopalapura. There were nearly 23 attendees, including staff, ASHA workers, and patients.
The event commenced with a divine invocation by ASHA workers followed by the traditional lamp lighting ceremony. A warm welcome address was delivered by Dr. Tanveer Ahmed, Associate Professor, Community Medicine , BGS MCH, setting the tone for the proceedings. Dr. Venkatesh.P, Professor , Department of Community Medicine, BGS MCH addressed the gathering regarding the World Health Day 2024 and the themer ‘My Health MY Right’. Dr. Satheesh, Professor, Department of Community Medicine, addressed the gathered audience, emphasizing the significance of the specialty clinics and assured the provision of quality health services thrice a week at the center.
Dr. Sachin, Medical officer of RHTC , Gopalpura took the stage to express their commitment and cooperation towards the venture, underscoring the importance of collaborative efforts in promoting community health. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the Medicosocial worker, Mr. Ranganath expressing gratitude to all participants and stakeholders involved in making the event a success.
Following the formalities, the specialty clinic services commenced, providing specialized healthcare services to the patients. The event served as a significant milestone in promoting access to quality healthcare services and reaffirming the commitment to advancing community health and well-being.
